The Unicode encoding of these fonts means the Windows and Macintosh fonts are compatible for Kurdish (Soranî, but not for Kurmanji or Cyrillic). You do not need to buy a special keyboard to use the LaserKurdish in Unicode fonts. All this can be done with your regular physical keyboard. Users may combine any of the supported languages with text from any other language or font supported by your computer's Operating System. When you select the Kurmanji, Cyrillic, or English keyboard, the input direction will automatically change to left to right. When you select the Kurdish Soranî, Arabic, or Persian keyboard, input will automatically be right to left.
The user may switch back and forth between Kurdish (Arabic-script, Roman-script, or Cyrillic-script), Arabic, Persian, English, and the other supported Latin languages simply by toggling between the six included keyboard drivers, without changing fonts.
